IMGE Wins Best International PMI Provider Award

Oct 25, 2010

(LONDON – OCTOBER 25, 2010) – IMG Europe Ltd, a driving force in the international insurance market and the European subsidiary of International Medical Group®, Inc. (IMG®), won Best International PMI Provider at the Health Insurance Awards 2010. This is just the second year IMG Europe entered the contest; in 2009 it was shortlisted and was a highly commended finalist. The 13th awards ceremony, which recognises top achievements in the intermediary and health insurance provider communities, was hosted by Health Insurance magazine and comic Patrick Kielty at the historic Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London’s West End. More than 800 people attended the event including several health insurance industry figureheads.

“We are delighted to have won such a prestigious and highly prized award,” said Carl Carter, Managing Director of IMG Europe. “This is a fantastic show of support and appreciation from the readers of Health Insurance magazine and our independent intermediaries and brokers worldwide. We know that brokers have a choice and we are proud that they choose to do business with IMG and IMG Europe. We pride ourselves on our products and personal service, so it was a pleasure to accept the award on behalf of our team.”

The contest consisted of 13 different categories. For the category Best International PMI (Private Medical Insurance) Provider, there were over 10 companies that entered. Votes were accepted online by independent intermediaries who advise on and sell health insurance and protection products to individuals and companies. The voting was overseen by the actuarial and consulting firm, Deloitte.

The award follows another successful year for IMG and IMG Europe. In addition to launching new innovative international health care plans, IMG was named to the Inner City 100 list for a fourth time (a list of the fastest growing inner-city companies in America as determined by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and BusinessWeek SmallBiz magazine), was named a Top Workplace, maintained its ISO 14001:2004 certification for its Environmental Management System, and its specialised medical management division was awarded Health Utilization Management Accreditation by URAC, a leading health care accrediting organisation that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

Carl Carter further added, “We certainly won't be resting on our laurels, and will continue to strive to deliver the best product offering and service available in the international private medical insurance market."
