Travelers Seeking Tropical International Trips in Spring of 2022
As many people are booking trips and planning fun getaways for spring of 2022, IMG reviewed the travel itineraries of nearly 10,000 of its members from March 1st to April 15th to see what trends travelers can expect this year.
The top international destinations for travelers this spring are Mexico, Aruba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Turks and Caicos Islands. It’s clear that, with an average trip length of 7 days, travelers this spring are looking to escape for a week to somewhere warm and tropical.
As travel rebounds from the COVID-19 pandemic, more spring travelers are making sure their trips are protected. For the dates of March 1st to April 15th, IMG has seen a 47% increase in the number of its insured members that are choosing plans with trip protection coverage compared to spring of 2019.
