IMG Sends Employees on Corporate Service Trip with School the World

INDIANAPOLIS (April 11, 2023) – International Medical Group® (IMG®), an award-winning global insurance benefits and assistance services company, is excited to announce the success of its 2023 corporate service trip with School the World, a non-profit organization focused on providing access to quality education in Central America. As part of its sponsorship with School the World, IMG sent eight employees on a week-long service trip to the Western Highlands of Guatemala to assist in building a new school and bathroom facility.

"Being part of IMG’s School the World team for the 2023 corporate service trip was truly the experience of a lifetime," said Jana Langdown, IMG Travel Underwriter. "My colleagues and I were able to learn more about a new culture, develop a deeper sense of camaraderie with one another, and make a positive impact in the community of Santa Cruz del Quiche in Guatemala. I am very thankful to IMG for allowing me to have this incredible opportunity."

The IMG School the World team members assisted in painting a new school, bathrooms, and playground equipment and also helped mix and pour cement for the school flooring and sidewalks. The finished project was dedicated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the end of the week. Additionally, the team was able to connect with the locals by playing with students at recess and visiting homes in the community throughout the week.

IMG selected eight employees to go on the trip based on applications submitted via written essay or video. Each applicant responded to the following question: "How will this experience help you better understand what it’s like to Be There for our customers and clients?"
