We Know Pets Are Like Family

Pets aren't just animals—they're part of the family. They love us unconditionally, teach us responsibility and selflessness, and offer emotional and social support to reduce stress.

We understand how, as a pet parent, you might struggle with the idea of leaving your pets behind while you travel the world. You might choose to board Fido at the kennel so he can play with other dogs, but maybe it's best to find a cat sitter for Fluffy to shield her from the stress of being away from home. In either case, it's critical they receive the best care while you're away.

And we also know how important it is to return home to your pets safely, which is why we offer the trip protection benefits and non-insurance assistance services you need to stay protected while traveling the world.

Designed with Pet Owners in Mind

Whether you're going on a cruise to the Bahamas, flying overseas for a European vacation, or driving cross country to visit family, it's important to consider travel insurance to protect your trip investment should something unexpected happen. IMG's iTravelInsured travel protection plans offer trip cancellation and trip interruption benefits if your dog, cat, or service animal suffers a sickness, injury, or death.

iTravelInsured Travel SE and iTravelInsured Travel LX offer additional benefits specifically for those with pets. If your return trip is delayed a certain number of hours, pet kennel benefits can help you cover the costs of extended pet boarding until you're able to make it home. Travel SE offers up to $100 per day with a $300 maximum per pet, while Travel LX offers $100 per day with a $500 maximum per pet.

Benefits Tailored to Pet Owners

Trip Cancellation

We consider dogs and cats as part of your family and understand why you may cancel an upcoming planned vacation should something unexpected happen to your four-legged friend. Travel protection plans offer trip cancellation benefits if your dog, cat, or service animal suffers a sickness, injury, or death.

Extended Boarding

Select iTravelInsured plans include a pet kennel benefit to help cover the cost of extended boarding if your return trip is delayed 12 (SE) or 6 (LX) consecutive hours and you can’t pick up your pet at the scheduled time. While the end of an exciting vacation can be bittersweet, you know your pets will be eagerly waiting to give you a warm welcome home.

Trip Interruption

No one wants to think about a pet getting sick or hurt while you’re away from home, but if you’re forced to end your vacation early to comfort Fido, trip interruption benefits can kick in. A pet’s unforeseen illness or injury is a covered reason under this benefit, which can reimburse you for unused, prepaid, non-refundable travel costs plus the additional transportation expenses required to get you home, up to the maximum benefit amount.

Pet Insurance

When you’re not traveling the world, we understand that you still want your pet to be happy, healthy, and by your side as long as possible. Through IMG’s partnership with Fetch, you can purchase pet insurance for your dog or cat to help ensure they live their healthiest and happiest life.
